# Restricting a product category to a wholesale role

You can restrict the visibility of a product category to specific role. This may be a helpful tool if you have multiple [Wholesale roles](https://help.getbeans.com/docs/wholesale-roles/) set up.

1. From your** Dashboard**, go to **Products > Categories.**
2. Hover over the Category in question, then click **Edit**.
3. Scroll down to the ****Wholesale role filter****, and select specific role from the list (you can select multiple roles).

Note: If you would like to set a discount to a specific Wholesale role, find the **Wholesale customer field** and input a **% value**. [Read more.](https://help.getbeans.com/docs/product-category-discounts/)

4. Click the **Update button**.
